On the 19-20 of February this year, a historic event will happen in New Delhi, India. The India-AI Impact Summit. Every time a new summit is held, an overall theme is chosen. This year's theme is ‘Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya’ or welfare for all, happiness for all. This summit will focus on AI’s real-world impact and how we can make it more inclusive. AI is everywhere in the world and is raising concerns amongst the world about how AI is going to develop in the future. Learning how to control and understand AI allows us humans to use AI to its full potential. Despite what many older people believe, AI isn't that bad. That's why the AI-summit is being held.
The summit focuses greatly on pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve using artificial intelligence. People from all around are going to meet and talk about the different possibilities AI creates, through which access to different humanitarian benefits can be made available to a large number of people. One thing they are going to talk about is the vision to democratize the use of technology. The summit aims to address India's central challenges and create economic and employment opportunities for everyone. This summit aims to not just look at the disadvantages of AI usage but also to shed new light on it. India is trying to ensure that the opportunities that AI can bring belong to everyone. They aim to make world-class computing powers accessible at a rate of less than a dollar an hour, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for the world's largest population.
Fun Fact: AI is the simulation of human intelligence created by a machine. This allows the artificial intelligence to learn, reason, solve problems, and understand complex problems that would typically require human intelligence. The term AI was first introduced in 1956 by computer scientist John McCarthy.
